With the release of the first set of forcing data and the associated protocol, the ISIMIP4 simulation round has been kicked off and simulations can start. This gives us the opportunity to still get CMIP7-based climate impact simulation results into IPCC AR7.
We realize that this is an ambitious plan and to support efforts to write papers, we kindly invite you to an ISIMIP4 Kick-off webinar.
The webinar will be held on 21 September 2-3 pm, and you can use the following Zoom link to dial into the meeting:

ID: 674 8333 1570
Code: 709830
Essentially, the webinar will cover the following topics:
- Brief presentation of the current state of the ISIMIP4 input and protocol
- Outlook on what data will come in future
- Call for contributions to ongoing publications on cross-sectoral climate impacts according to the VL and H scenarios (ISIMIP4) and the SSP126 and SSP585 scenarios (ISIMIP3), respectively, which we plan to realize until the AR7 WGII submission deadline (tentatively in May 2027)
- Open round for questions from the audience
The intention is to clarify open questions and to give guidance for an efficient modeling strategy to realize ISIMIP4-based contributions to the AR7, rather than to dive into detailed issues.
We are very much looking forward to seeing you online.
