Newsletter

You can subscribe to our free newsletter on our website. In addition, you can subscribe to two other ISIMIP mailing lists: isimip-modellers and isimip-caveats. Users that are the responsible contact persons for editing Impact Models, are registered to the isimip-modellers mailing list by the ISIMIP project coordinator or the ISIMIP data management team.

Each of our e-mail distribution lists is managed by a DFN-Listserv. When you register to any of our mailing lists, this is the data that will be transmitted to us:

You can change your subscription options, manage your preferences, suspend your subscription or unsubscribe at any moment, by logging in to the list environment homepage. To unsubscribe, you can also send a message to sympa@listserv.dfn.de from the address with which you subscribed to the list. More information on DFN-Listserv here.

NOTE: Prior to 12 Dec 2019, we only managed one newsletter mailing list. People could join such newsletter by filling in an online form where we would gather the following information: name, e-mail address, interests, affiliation, country, date and time of registration. The data in such database was deleted as soon as they were no longer necessary to achieve the purpose for which they were collected. The user's e-mail address was stored as long as the newsletter subscription was active. The subscription of the newsletter could be cancelled by the affected user at any time. For this purpose, it was sufficient to send an informal e-mail (in response to a newsletter received or independently thereof) to info@isimip.org. On 12 Dec 2019, we migrated all those subscribers to our isimip-followers DFN-Listserv and notified them of the action.

Registration

Users that are the responsible contact persons for editing Impact Models are registered to the isimip-modellers mailing list and to our Modeller's Dashboard database by the website administrator or the ISIMIP data management team. The Modeller's Dashboard account provides access to different areas of the website, for gathering documentation and license information about an Impact Model. The data transmitted to ISIMIP is: name, e-mail address, affiliation, country, ISIMIP sector of involvement, model owner or model involved, date and time of registration, and interests (if expressed).

E-mail

It is possible to contact us via the e-mail address provided. In this case, the personal data of the user transmitted with the e-mail will be stored. The data will be deleted as soon as they are no longer necessary to achieve the purpose for which they were collected. For the personal data sent by e-mail, this is the case when the respective conversation with the user has ended.
